Welcome to Feast in France Registration!
Your brothers and sisters in Christ welcome you back to the Feast of Tabernacles in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France! The Feast will be held at the Club Miléade La Gaillarde Les Issambres on the beautiful French Riviera near the well-known tourist destinations of Saint-Tropez and Saint-Raphaël. We have enjoyed the Feast in this region of France for many years, and this will be our fourth time celebrating the Feast at this seaside location.
Located an hour south of the Nice airport, Club Miléade La Gaillarde is situated just across the street from the beautiful Mediterranean Sea with 180-degree ocean views and an underpass walkway to the well-known beach of La Gaillarde. The outdoor heated pool and children’s play area overlook the water and the hotel’s main building has a restaurant and bar, playroom for children, and also a spa where visitors can schedule a massage, enjoy a sauna or relax in the indoor jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The auditorium for church services is located next to the main building and the hotel accommodations, many with ocean views, are a short walk from the main complex. The room and board package provides the opportunity to experience full-course buffet-style French meals while enjoying fellowship with brethren from around the world.
We plan to offer three afternoon excursions to nearby points of interest (See below for prices and the Excursions News post for additional details).
Average daytime highs in October are in the upper 60s (20° C) with lows in the mid 50s (14° C). The Mediterranean Sea temperature is about 64° (17-18° C) in October.
As with prior years, the Feast in France package price includes nine nights’ lodging with breakfast, lunch and dinner. For pricing information, please see the “Housing Info” section.

Step 1—Complete the online registration for all attendees (including infants) starting at the “Sign Up” section below. As part of this process, you will need to pay a non-refundable $40 registration fee per registrant 18 and older. In addition, those who will not be renting a car and need transportation to and from the Nice airport may also purchase seats on our Airport Shuttle bus. The deadline for this purchase is Monday, August 11.
Please note that payment for room/board, excursions and shuttles can only be made online, using a credit card or PayPal account. Housing Types & Features
There are two types of housing available at the Feast this year. One is a hotel-style room, and the other is an apartment style with a kitchenette.
· Room and board are charged per person based on occupancy level (and age, for those 13 and under), so the cost is the same regardless of the housing type you are ultimately assigned. Therefore, the only selections you will need to make when paying for room and board are single occupancy vs double or higher occupancy for those 14 and over, and the appropriate age-based package for anyone under 14.
· Housing units will be assigned closer to the Feast, with priority for apartments given to families with small children and those with special needs.
· Please fill out our housing survey to help us determine the best arrangement for you and your family (or traveling companions, as applicable). It is the preferred method to let us know about any special needs you may have (i.e. mobility issues, food allergies or other dietary restrictions that may require access to a kitchen, etc.)
· Note that there is NO WI-FI IN THE ROOMS, but there is Wi-Fi available in the main conference center a short walk from the housing units. If your cell provider offers it, you may consider adding an “international data plan” for the duration of your travels. Another option is to purchase a mobile hotspot and international data plan. One provider which several Feastgoers have used is Solis: https://soliswifi.co/?rfsn=2318081.4a2bce.
Hotel rooms
Hotel rooms are arranged in pairs of two separate hotel rooms which together can accommodate two to five people. Each room has its own private locking door and private bathroom, and each pair of rooms shares a common entry door and small foyer. Each pair typically has one hotel room with a large bed (can be split into two smaller beds) while the second hotel room in each pair has two or three twin beds to accommodate up to a family of five total.
Each room comes with its own bathroom and toilet, is equipped with heating and air conditioning, and has a small fridge and a TV.
The rooms on the ground floor have a small terrace; those on the second floor have a balcony.
Apartments
Apartments sleep from four up to six people. Each apartment has one private bedroom with two twin beds (can be made into a large bed). The sofa bed in the living room can sleep two and a few of the apartments have a loft with two additional beds.
Each apartment has its own private bathroom and toilet, is equipped with heating and air conditioning, and comes with a TV, a fully equipped kitchenette, dishwasher, fridge and hotplate. They are typically stocked with plates and utensils for a family of four to six along with table and chairs.
Housekeeping
Whether in a hotel room or an apartment, towels will be changed twice during your stay, and basic room cleaning (emptying trash and touching up floors) will be provided once during your stay.
· If you would like sheets changed and/or your towels changed more frequently, you may request this and pay an additional fee at the front desk. Alternatively, you can request a change of sheets at the front desk for no charge if you don’t mind changing them yourself.
· Extra towels for beach or pool use are not provided, so you may wish to bring your own towels from home for this purpose.

Passports: Travelers need to ensure their passports are valid for at least three months beyond their planned date of departure out of the 26 Schengen Area European Countries. However, the U.S. State Department also advises Americans to have at least six months’ validity remaining on their passport whenever they travel abroad.
Visas: No visa is currently required for travelers from the U.S., U.K., Australia, and Canada to visit France if the visit is less than 90 days.* For citizens of the European Union, a national ID card is all that is required. Visitors from countries other than those mentioned above should check with the nearest French consulate or embassy to verify travel formalities. See below for two important changes this year:
1. Effective January 8, 2025, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required for travelers of various nationalities (including American) to visit and/or transit through the UK. Visit this link for further details.
2. *The EU is planning to implement a similar process mid-2025, but the effective date is still TBD as of January 21, 2025. The process will require a valid passport, completing an online form, and paying a small fee estimated to be about $10. Here is a link to an article with some FAQs.

Payment for excursions must be made online via Shopify by Tuesday, July 1. Lunch …………. 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm (unless otherwise specified for a particular excursion)
Dinner ………… 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (unless otherwise specified for a particular excursion)
CHURCH SERVICES AND TRANSLATION
English speakers are welcomed and do not need to speak French. A short opening service will be held after dinner on Wednesday, October 16 at 8:30 pm. Some of the services will be held in French and some in English, with simultaneous translation into the other language provided via translation equipment. Visitors should bring headphones with a standard jack to plug into the translation receiver which will be provided onsite.
ELECTRICITY
The electrical current in France is 200-220 volts, 50 cycles. This will burn out North American appliances if no transformer/converter is used. Note that a transformer/converter is not the same thing as an adapter. An adapter is the physical plug that fits in the wall outlet. The sockets in France generally have two thin cylindrical prongs rather than the rectangular flat type found in North America. A transformer/converter is a separate item that modifies the electrical current for North American appliances, from 110V to 220V.
EXCHANGING MONEY
The currency used in France is the Euro. Exchange rates vary from day to day. As of January 21, 2025, it costs $1.04 to buy one Euro. This will most likely change before the Feast.
We recommend that visitors change at least a small amount of money before their trip to be sure they have some local currency on arrival. While traveler’s checks are a safe way to bring money since they can be replaced if lost or stolen, they are becoming more difficult and expensive to change.
Debit Cards
Many visitors use ATM cards to withdraw Euros from ATMs. A visitor’s bank account is debited in the home currency and a small fee is charged. This is very convenient and one of the least costly ways to change money, since the fee is offset by an often more advantageous exchange rate.
Airports/Specialized Exchange Offices
Banks in France no longer offer currency exchange services. If you need to change foreign bills for Euros, your best option would be a specialized exchange office (“bureau de change”), such as those found in airports and some larger cities (i.e. Global Exchange, American Express or Travelex).
Credit Cards
MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted in France; other credit cards (i.e. Discover or American Express) are accepted in a more limited way or not at all. It is also possible to use a MasterCard or Visa with a PIN code to obtain a cash advance (in which case visitors are charged a fee, as well as interest on the cash advance "loan" by the home bank.)
When using a credit card for purchases, you typically receive an advantageous exchange rate. Look for one which does not charge foreign transaction fees if possible. You may be asked if you would like your purchase converted to USD at the point of sale, but it is usually more advantageous to have the purchase rung up in EUR.
The bottom line: it is always a good idea to have at least two different means of procuring Euros in case there is a problem with an ATM machine or with your card.
